ComplexSweeper · Complex Mines

Four kinds of mines, 24 reachable values and a different way to reason about the board. Native HarmonyOS, Android and Apple ports of Qingyuexiao’s open-source game preserve its classic pixel style and circular complex-number mode.

Four mine types

Positive and negative real and imaginary mines represent +1, −1, +i and −i. A cell shows the magnitude of the sum of all nearby mines.

Cancellation is not empty

A +1 mine and a −i mine give √2. A +1 and a −1 cancel to 0. A blank means there are no nearby mines; a zero can hide cancelling pairs.

Winning and expanding

Reveal every non-mine cell to win. Expansion requires the nearby flag count to match the actual mine count and the real-to-imaginary ratio to match the true ratio or its reciprocal. Flagged cells remain protected.

On phones, tap a covered cell to cycle flags and hold to reveal it. On macOS, left-click reveals and right-click flags. Select a revealed number to attempt expansion; select the face to restart. Three difficulties: 9×9 / 10 mines, 16×16 / 40 mines and 30×16 / 99 mines.

All three ports use integer arithmetic and the mulberry32 generator. Board fingerprints for identical seeds check consistency between platforms. Only circular complex-number mode is ported; the upstream hyperbolic mode is not included.

Original game and ports

Qingyuexiao (Yueqing-Chen) created the original Zig + Win32 game, rules, atlas and audio; Rayawa maintains these three native ports. The ports are based on upstream v1.2.0 and their code is GPL-3.0. Original classic Minesweeper images belong to Microsoft; other additions and audio come from the upstream game. See each repository’s asset documentation for the specific licences.
